We measure our success by the impact we have on our students – and on the communities we serve.

ARU is in the top 10 mainstream universities in the country for graduate employment according to The Graduate Outcomes Survey* and our courses are focussed on getting you career-ready. Furthermore, ARU also feature in the top 40 UK universities and top 350 in the world in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, 2021.

Meanwhile some courses such as Sport and Education are ranked number 1 in the Guardian League Table, 2021. We’re also very proud to hold a TEF Silver Award, which reflects the high quality of teaching delivered by our talented staff.

You’ll find our campuses in the heart Cambridge and Chelmsford, each with their own unique style and charm. We also have a specialist healthcare site in Peterborough, and our partnership with ARU London gives you the opportunity to study for an ARU-validated degree in the capital city.

In Autumn 2022 a brand new ARU Peterborough campus will welcome its first students. The new campus is being built for Peterborough and the surrounding region, in partnership with the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and Peterborough City Council. The building will be environmentally friendly and architecturally leading. A wide range of employment focused degrees and degree apprenticeships will provide opportunities for Peterborough’s promising students and meet the needs of the region’s employers.

You’ll benefit from award-winning facilities at ARU - the result of £115m of investment over the past five years. Recent additions to our campuses include our School of Medicine in Chelmsford which began training our first cohort of doctors in 2018; our Science Centre in Cambridge specifically designed to support STEM students and researchers; and two new Law Clinics offering our students the opportunity to work in real-life cases with qualified solicitors.
